Over the course of the past year we have developed our services capacity to help our users/customers, who, while in the early stage of adoption, may find assistance with the following areas of work useful:

  1. 3D solid modelling focused on and for the sole purposes of construction simulation and the use of Synchro
  2. 3D to 4D schedule linking support
  3. construction simulation production, including AVI and slideshow presentation preparation
  4. project monitoring support and monthly reporting

We have found that the area that stimulates the most excitement about using Synchro, creating an immediate demand for our assistance, is the preparation of 4D simulation. Our services have been used from assisting the pursuit team to win new business to change order analysis to forensic analysis for construction claims.

Modelling Services Flow

3D MODELLING SERVICE

Our team of specialists can easily transform 2D drawings into 3D and 4D construction models for use in Synchro to the customer's requirements.

A model options document is given the customer who will mark the exact items to be modelled from logistics, equipment, site traffic flows, substructure, superstructure, MEP, and interior fit-out. We then focus on the models that help solve your delivery issues and articulate your approach clearly and dynamically.

We require 2D drawings of plan views, side elevations, sections and any other relevant information to create 3D models using market leading 3D software packages.

Alternatively the customer can provide the 3D data and we will prepare it for import into Synchro where quality details and model positioning is an issue.

We will link the 3D data into your construction programme schedule in Synchro.

Synchro will import programmes created in Asta, Primavera and Microsoft Project XML.

Logistics and planning problems can easily be identified and addressed at this stage.

We also have an extensive logistics and equipment library which we can add to the problem solving equation and ultimately your presentation.

PRESENTATIONS

Once the programme is successfully linked to the 3D models we can create time slice screen shots in PDF format for initial interviews followed by an AVI video presentation.

The rendered image was produced for the DVD cover for a presentation.

was created for direct instruction as part of the plan during the programme. This is a very useful way to convey information at initial interviews.

AVI VIDEO PRESENTATION

The advantage of the AVI video is seeing your approach to the construction project from existing conditions when you first walk onto the site to the demolition, foundations all the way through to the finished project.

Logistics routes, close up inspection of various areas, multi view windows can all be included in the AVI. It is run using Windows Media Player and can be easily distributed without the need for the Synchro software.

PROJECT MONITORING SUPPORT & MONTHLY REPORTING

We can provide a service that will monitor the progress of a project using Synchro.

The example below shows the use of Baselines to determine where the project is (left picture) and where it should actually be at any given time.
