The Synchro Solution
Synchro Synergy

Synchro Server

Synchro Server promotes a shared understanding of the project and non-adversarial planning and collaboration.

Synchro Server is an IP-based server, which ensures the fast communication of information changes to each connected user while managing the single project model. This capability allows dispersed planning and scheduling teams to access a common central model and repository of planning and scheduling information to alleviate communications, coordination and scheduling issues.
Synchro Server is the bridge between project participants.

Changes made on one workstation – whether it's Synchro Professional or Workgroup – are broadcast synchronised with the central model and immediately broadcast on a pier-to-pier basis to all other connected participant users to keep everyone updated constantly.

Collaboration through Synchro offers the opportunity to distribute planning and scheduling responsibilities, retain a complete audit record for analysis of all user input activity, and keep the project model and information under control at all times.

Functionality

Synchro Server receives and processes client update requests on project information and:

  • Ensures data integrity between concurrent client requests.
  • Broadcasts information updates to each connect Synchro client.
  • Provides transaction history, logging and rollback.
  • Provides user access logging and display of currently connected users.
  • Its built-in firewall enhances security.
  • Lightweight, compressed protocol reduces bandwidth requirements.

Views

Synchro Server provides information views to support administration of the Synchro application suite, including:

  • User connection status.
  • Current connections’ display of currently logged-on project users.
  • Transaction history.
  • Server logging of project specific events and activity.
  • Integrated logging to the Window Event Log for centralised error reporting.
